Pickt (“we”, “our”, “us”) is a decision-making app that helps people decide on places to go together. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
Account Information. When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and the avatar you choose. Your password is securely hashed and never stored in plain text.
Location Data. We collect your location to find places near you. You choose your search radius and can change it at any time. We do not track your location in the background — we only access it when you actively use the app.
Usage Data. We collect information about how you use the app, including which categories you select, places you swipe on, and your matches. This helps us improve the app experience.
Preferences. If you provide food and activity preferences during onboarding, we store these to personalize your experience.
Google Places API. We use Google’s Places API to find nearby restaurants, bars, and activities. Your location coordinates are sent to Google to retrieve place data. Google’s privacy policy applies to their processing of this data.
Supabase. Our backend database is hosted on Supabase. Your account data, preferences, and match history are stored securely on Supabase’s servers.
RevenueCat. We use RevenueCat to manage in-app subscriptions. RevenueCat processes subscription status — your payment information is handled entirely by Apple and is never shared with us.
Apple. All payments are processed through Apple’s In-App Purchase system. We never see or store your payment details.
Your data is stored securely on Supabase servers in the United States. We use industry-standard encryption and access controls to protect your information. Your password is hashed and never stored in plain text.
We do not sell your personal information to anyone. We do not share your data with advertisers. We only share data with the third-party services listed above as needed to operate the app.
Access. You can view your profile information in the app’s Settings.
Edit. You can update your name, avatar, and preferences at any time in Settings.
Delete. You can delete your account and all associated data from Settings. Account deletion is permanent and removes all your data from our servers within 30 days.
Data Export. You can request a copy of your data by contacting us at the email below.
Pickt is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or via email.
